Hamacide + ChaCha
ChaCha is a Shanghai-based singer/producer hailing from Guizhou, China. She is featured all over Kode9 & The Spaceape’s “Black Sun” (Hyperdub, 2011) album and has also recorded with the likes Adrian Sherwood, Jimi Tenor, and Desto among others.
ChaCha is not only a prominent figure in Shanghai’s independent music scene, but is a pioneer of Chinese music. She is an innovator who is not afraid to juxtapose her mostly Mandarin Chinese and highly eclectic vocal styling’s with different forms of music. ChaCha also produces and DJs under the moniker Faded Ghost.
In 2011, ChaCha became the first ever Mainland Chinese participant at Red Bull Music Academy in Madrid.
Hamacideはアトランタ出身の日系アメリカ人 プロデューサー。故郷アトランタではサウス系のヒップホップサウンドメイクからプロデューサーとしてのキャリアをスタートし、ニューヨークへ拠点を移した後は 、ブロードウェイのサウンドエンジニアとしても活動した。中国上海に渡り、出会ったのが、上海で シンガー/プロデューサーとして活動するChaChaである。現在、Hamacideは両親の故郷である日本へ移住し、今回のように国境を越えたインターナショナルなコラボレーションを続ける、世界で活動するミュージシャンの一人。
