midorim

Midorim lived in New York for several years before moving back to Tokyo. She posted a flyer at Other Music in the East Village and formed a band called Knocked Out Loaded with some folks that didn't care that she couldn't speak a word of English. The band eventually went their separate ways, but midorim continued to play in clubs and galleries in the city. During her days in New York, midorim worked with Trevor Sias of Music Related, Shy Child (Kill Rock Stars/Wall of Sounds), and DFA Records, engineer at Steve Revitte.

ニューヨーク市内のレコードショップOther musicにメンバー募集の張り紙を張り、音響系ロックバンドKnocked Out Loadedを結成。ギターボーカル、シンセを担当。NY市内のライブハウス、CMJミュージックフェスティバル、カナダのNorth by Northwestへの参加等、精力的に音楽活動を5年間行う。 2003年バンド解散以降、midori名義でソロで活動。楽曲をよりシンプルに、エレクトロとロックの融合を試みる。レーベルMusic Relatedのオーナー、Trevor Siasと共にアルバム「Esia Austral」を完成。Trevorのソロプロジェクト、Pandatoneの「Wondering」にボーカル提供。 翌年、地元のミュージシャン Shy Child(Kill Rock Stars/Wall of Sounds)やDFA recordsのエンジニア、Steve Revitteのレコーディングサポートをした曲を収録したアルバムを制作。NY市内のクラブやギャラリー等でLaptopとリアルドラム構成でライブを３年間行った。
