Sayoko-daisy

Sayoko-daisy is an Osaka-born, Nara bred, singer, songwriter, and synth-pop producer based out of Mie, Japan. She calls herself the “Takuroku Shufu (The Home Studio Housewife)”, and says that her methods are digital, but her heart is analog.

Sayoko-daisy’s influences are as diverse as Yellow Music Orchestra, Kyoto rocker Ban Hiroshi, and the AOR sensibilities of artists like Shintaro Sakamoto and Yura Yura Teikokoku.

大阪生まれ、奈良育ち、三重在住。小学生の頃より、作曲や編曲を嗜む。１７歳の時、インディーズミュージシャンの楽曲にボーカルとして参加したことがきっかけで歌い始める。
 
２０１２年、１０年近く休んでいた作曲活動を再開。インターネット上で公開していた作品を偶然耳にした奈良・ジャンゴレコード店長から、CDリリースを薦められる。２０１２年１２月に１ｓｔミニアルバム「Tourist in the Room」、２０１３年８月に２ｎｄミニアルバム「Need Them But Fear Them」をリリース。カバー曲集の発表、ライブハウスやカフェ等でのライブ活動を経て、２０１４年には初のフル・アルバム「ノーマル・ポジション」をリリース。
 
モットーは「Party Perfomance（宴会芸）」。手法はデジタル、心はアナログな「宅録主婦」。
